Corsodyl Alcohol Free Mouthwash – 300ml
Corsodyl mint mouthwash is a medicine that contains chlorhexidine digluconate, a substance that helps reduce plaque and treat early signs of gum disease. You can use Corsodyl mint mouthwash to:
- Treat and prevent gum disease (where gums may bleed when brushed)
- Promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment
- Control mouth ulcers
- Maintain mouth hygiene
- Manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth Use only if the cap seal is intact before opening. Suitable for Adults
Age Restriction
You must be at least 16 years old to buy this product.
How to use Read the leaflet inside before using this product. For oral use only. Do not swallow or use more than the label says.
Use twice a day. Fill the cap to 10ml line. Rinse your mouth thoroughly for 1 minute then spit out. Toothpastes can affect Corsodyl’s effectiveness. Rinse your mouth well with water and wait 5 minutes after brushing your teeth before using Corsodyl. You can also use it at a different time of day.
Treatment doses:
Gum disease: Use for one month (600ml). Mouth ulcers and oral thrush: Keep using for 2 days after healing. Denture sore mouth: Clean and soak your dentures in Corsodyl for 15 minutes twice a day. Dental surgery: Rinse as advised by your dentist.
If your symptoms do not improve, see your dentist.
Hazards and Cautions /Do not use:
If you are allergic to chlorhexidine digluconate or any other ingredients (see further information). In children under 12 years old. Anywhere else than in your mouth. If it gets in your eyes or ears, wash it out well. Right after brushing your teeth. See usage instructions for more details.
Take special care with Corsodyl:
It may stain your tongue temporarily. This will go away when you stop using it. It may stain your teeth. This can usually be removed by brushing. You can prevent staining by avoiding tea, coffee or red wine – especially one hour after using it, and by brushing daily with toothpaste (see usage instructions.) If staining persists, you can have it removed by your dentist or hygienist. You can clean your dentures with denture cleaners. You may have a change of taste or a burning feeling when you first use it. This should go away with continued use. If your mouth peels, dilute Corsodyl with equal amount of water.

If you have any side effects, tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any side effects not listed. You can also report side effects through the Yellow Card Scheme at: [www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard]. This helps provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the ‘EXP’ date on the pack.

Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% w/v.
Other Ingredients: Glycerol, Macrogolglycerol Hydroxystearate, Sorbitol Liquid (Non-Crystallising), Peppermint Flavour and Purified Water. Macrogolglycerol Hydroxystearate may cause skin reactions.
